If there's one thing you need to know about me it's that I'm a very introverted person. Having loud people and people who are touchy drains me of my energy. My grandparents were down (note, not everyone has nice ones), and I never felt so overwhelmed. It felt like I couldn't breath. No joking, I stayed in my room the whole time and my mom will bring me food. I just...it was too much for me. Typing this gives me the creeps. You can't put a lot of personal stuff on the internet, so I'm not, But this spring break was pretty bad.
So you can see how I want a fresh start this month. Not only personal wise, but book and blog wise as well. I read some books that made the whole month of March slow down. It wasn't a good reading month and I usually find a way to turn it into a positive.
For here on out I decided that I will have a book of the month that I want to get to. April's book of the month is The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall. I recently read the Kindle sample of this and I really liked it. I heard this was heavy on the romance and I'm just starting getting into romance and contemporary so I'm hoping to like this.
Other books I want to read/finish this month: Unseen Messages by Pepper Winters, Paper Princess by Erin Watt, Changeless by Gail Carriger, and Bon Bons and Yoga Pants by Katie Cross. I'm hoping to get a re-read in there some where, but who knows.
Event of the Month: Camp NaNoWriMo. 10,000 words, that's what I'm planning on writing, even though it's most likely going to be a chore. I don't even know what I want to write about and I'm doing it all in a notebook. Le sigh. Okay, no more negative thinking. I'm going to go on Pinterest and find a writing prompt I like.
1. Write an about page on my new blog. Yes, I finally did it.
2. I say this every month, but figure out what I want to do with this blog. A fresh start with a fresh name is what I'm leaning towards to.
3. Start shopping for my mom's Mother's Day gifts. (I'm going to do a blog post about this on my new blog.)
What I'm Not Looking Forward to: The season finale of Outsiders. That is by far my new favorite show. It comes on WGN America and I just can't. Sasil man. Sasil. I love that ship so much. Also the season or series finale of Sleepy Hollow. This show, man this show. I loved Season 1, tolerated Season 2, but this season was all over the place, but I am going to miss it. It's one of those things that you wish would just be put down even though you love it so much.
That's all for this month. What's your book of the month? Anything special going on in April?
