Noah Sloan is America's bad boy.
Both are former child stars and once were lovers. When they are cast as the leads in the upcoming erotic suspense blockbuster—Sinners Like Us—they are forced to come to terms with the issues that tore them apart to begin with.
As the whole world watches, can they keep their secrets hidden? After all, everybody is a sinner…
Childstar is about...well child stars. Noah Sloan, the bad boy, and Amelia London, America's Sweetheart, use to date until Noah cheated on Amelia. Both of their managers feel like they need a breakout role before they are forgotten. Sinners Like Us (which I hope will become an actual book someday, because from those snippets, I need those characters in my life) a well loved novel by millions has been optioned for a movie. Austin, Noah's manager, told him this was it, he needs it and that it was made for him. Oliver, Amelia's manager, tells her that she could either take this role and shed her America's Sweetheart role or start doing sitcoms. They both need these roles, because if they don't what would they be if they weren't actors?
I'm not going to get into, because I feel like I would give a lot a way seeing how it's broken into three parts. One thing I will comment on is Amelia going through posts on Twitter. That really broke my heart if you'll believe it. Personally, I can't stand when people are judging an actor/actress on their looks or what movies they been in or how they are perceived in the public eye, when they get a role in their book being made into a movie. And there's one movie that came out this year I think (I don't know,I wasn't on the hype train) I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Where people were basically saying the same thing about a certain actor like the people in the book does to Amelia. Really, I can go on a rant about it, but seeing how it's a book review I shall restrain myself.
Reading from both Amelia's and Noah's POV, it's like you're glimpsing into an actual actor life. Like you're reading a memoir. It's sad actually, the events that played out in this book between those two and I can't wait to read the next two parts to see where their story goes. Jeez, I'm close to crying writing this. I keep telling myself that they're not real, but they feel like actual people.
Before I go, I just want to say...that ending was a shocker. No spoilers!!
